A Special Message From Mr. James E. Padgett

Mr. Padgett passed into the world of spirit on March 17, 1923. Four days later his partner in the work, Mr. Eugene Morgan, was able to receive these three letters from Mr. Padgett.
March 21, 1923,
We are all here and at last I am where I so often desired to be. And when I arrived I was met by Jesus and other high spirits who were formally with me so often and also by a great crowd of spirits who were unknown to me, but said that I had enabled them to get out of darkness and become Divine Angels.
Was ever such beauty and happiness conceived of as is now mine. My soulmate is with me and says that a joyous mansion awaits me and that in a little time we will occupy it. I am in a beautiful place, but have not as yet asked its location. As many are seeking control, I must now stop.

I am here, James E. Padgett:
Well Morgan, here I am. I must say that nothing I ever conceived of compares to the marvelous beauty of my home as you are aware. We are making as it were a mighty effort to progress. I mean those in the same plane as myself.
When I entered this life, I was met by many thousands of spirits who said that I had helped them and you cannot conceive of the happiness the knowledge brought me. We must continue in this work, as my coming here will only change my location.
I am trying for more of the Divine Love with all the powers of my being. I of course desire this for myself, but I also desire it that I may be better fitted to become a member of your band and participate in the work more fully than it is now possible for us to do.
Tell the Doctor that I was with him the other morning, and that he actually had the experience of leaving his body and looking upon his old friend.
You are many times more developed in your amazing and wonderful powers of making clear and simple and obscure truths, than I ever thought you were. I also want to say that you are the mightiest force upon the earth and that you are known and spoken of, as I am told, all through the Spirit World from the highest Heavens to the lowest hells.
Oh, my friend, if I had only put my energy and determination in the work as you have, how different I would now feel, but some comfort is left me, and that is, for a long time I did, and this has enabled the work to be begun. I am most anxious to see it started, and I am most anxious to make up for my delinquency by my efforts in this life.
Jesus often comes to me and comforts me with his love like others of the Celestial Heavens do. Well, I must stop, as it seems that millions are seeking to get control to write.

Among those present is your old and much astonished friend Padgett. Yes, astonished for I never had the slightest conception when we were so intimately associates as to your marvelous intellectual possession.
Morgan you are able to grasp what you are actually accomplishing. Wumas, a marvelous spirit, is your great admirer, and says that as a mundane man you have no equal in respect to the use of the reasoning faculties and powers to disclose their processes.
I am engaged in the work and find untold happiness in the thought that I contributed what I did to its success and at the same time a sadness will creep into my very soul when I recall that I did not do this to the extent I might. Well that cannot be remedied and I can now only try to make up for my delinquency.
My home is in the Celestial, and Helen and I are together and supremely happy. She also participates in the work and in fact does, as you say, every spirit of the Celestial Heavens does in some way. For as a fact, you have awakened the desire of such countless numbers of spirits outside of our world that it requires the services of all of us to look after them.
I have wanted to write for a long time but conditions have not been such that I deemed that I was justified in gratifying my desires, but tonight it is possible and I have availed myself of the opportunity.
When the Doctor (Leslie R. Stone) is with you, read this to him and say that I am with him a great deal as well as are the spirits of the Celestial, whose love ever is about him.
Washington is a marvelous spirit and is second to Samuel in his capacity as an organizer.
Let me say as a spirit of the Celestial Heavens that of all men outside these Heavens, you are, as the mouthpiece of the Master, the most transcendent in respect to position as no Kings, ruler of nations, or people are your equal.
Wumas says he will write as soon as I finish so I will give him control.

It seems so funny to be writing to you now this way when I used to receive messages like this with your friend. Tell my friend, the Doctor, that I am with him and with Jesus and the Celestials.

Yes I am here, Yes I am Ann Rollins. I know you did not exprect me but I came with my grandson to see who was writing and so I am here. I want to tell you to keep praying for the Divine Love with all the earnestness of your soul and you iwll be able to attract to you spirits who are high up in the Celestial Heavens.
A word to the Doctor too, and tell him to be of good cheer and faith and to trust those who have the reponsibility for the success of the new gospels being given to mankind, to keep praying to the Heavenly Father for His Divine Love and belssings so I wills ay goodnight to you and the Doctor.

I am here, Mr. Padgett:
I usually do not write to you in deference to the High Spirits, especially Jesus, who is intent upon making known to mankind the truths of the New Testament and to eliminate from it the very many erroneous statements and passages that clutter up the truths and prevent any thinking man from accepting the New Testament because of the possibilities presented to them under the guise of the infallible word of God.
And now well I know it is the word and the work of man and not of God, and I am happy to say that the messages received through me when I was in the flesh and the companionship of Mr. Morgan and the Doctor are the only true messages from the Celestial Kingdom that point the way to the Father’s Kingdom and that those received through you ( Dr. Daniel G. Samuels) and their subsequent New Testament form, are supplemental to the work carried out by me.
However, I did not want to write a sermon on the messages received by you and me although, since you are now continuing this work, I could not help but make reference to them while communicating with you what I really wished to do is to tell you and my dear friend the Doctor, who I love so much, that I am in the Celestial Heavens and that I am praying earnestly for great portions of the Divine Love and that I live not far from my beloved wife Helen and that both of us have not reached the exalted Sphere inhabited by my Grandmother Ann Rollins, whose soul development is such that she continues to progress as we do and we cannot overtake her. She is a wonderful Spirit of brightness and glory.
I am very much interested in your work in taking the messages of Jesus and the Celestials and the only thing I can suggest to you is to have implicit faith that these messages come to you from Jesus himself, for I am often present when he writes, and to keep praying harder and with more intensity for the Father’s Love which has an efficacy and power you cannot dream of, but you should know that as I was helped while I was doing the work of writing for the Celestial Spirits, you too are being helped and you must not allow your mortal difficulties and vexations to stand in the way of your soul development and atonement with the Father and at the same time to hinder you in your ability to take the messages.
I too, was at one time a mortal as yourself and subject to all the troubles, financial and domestic, which beset mortals, but you must realize that they are all transitory and that the real world is the world of Spirits.
I am happy that you are associated with the good Doctor and I want to tell him that I love him more now than ever before because I love him with all the Divine Love of my soul development since passing over and I am very much moved to have this opportunity to tell him so in writing, although of course, he has known it in his soul for the many many long years since I came to the Spirit World.
So, with all my love to him and to you and with the exhortations to you to keep yourself in condition to receive the Spirit messages through constant prayer to the Father,

I am here, Mary Kennedy:
Well, I was indeed happy to listen to the message given by the Master and at the same time witness the joy and emotion of dear Mr. Padgett, who wrote you with great sincerity about his home in the Celestial Heavens and referring to his love for his dear friend, who happens to be my good soulmate, Dr. Stone, Leslie to me.
I say Leslie is good because he did what I asked him to do last week and I want to tell him that I am very pleased with what he did, for if he didn’t I would know it very quickly. So you see, that we all are trying to let you know not to worry but to be of good cheer and to understand that in time your worries will be dissipated; for he who seeks the Kingdom of God will receive not only righteousness but all these things added to it. And this is a promise given to mankind by God.
There were many spirits present when the Master wrote, and also when Mr. Padgett wrote, and it was a sort of get-together among old friends; for although we do see each other at times, the fact that he was going to write to his old friend, the Doctor on earth, gave to the occasion a particular atmosphere and there were a number of spirits present who were friends of Mr. Padgett, and I shall name Mr. Morgan who said if he had a chance would come and write.
I know I am not the flippant Mary tonight, but the Doctor, Leslie, knows that I can be very serious when the occasion demands and I was very much touched, as was Mr. Padgett himself, to see him write to his old friend to give him news about himself and his progress in the Spirit World.
So, thanking my dear Leslie again for listening to the suggestions of his beloved Mary I shall close and say goodnight to him and to you, and will sign myself,
